A place that has been around for a long time but I have never been inclined to go here because of the mixed views I’ve heard about this place. But, recently an acquaintance who works in the vicinity of this place mentioned about the Thali from here and it caught my attention. For ₹299, a thali with some interesting components and recommendation coming from someone who has tried this place multiple times so I decided to find out more about it.
The server didn’t mention about the Thali till we didn’t ask about it. We ignored the menu that was handed over to us and asked for the Thali. The Mutton Biryani Thali that I had was absolutely satisfying. In fact, I have to admit that I never expected it to be so good.
The Thali came with a generous portion of Hyderabadi Style Mutton Biryani, with soft Mutton Pieces. The Biryani was aromatic, spicy and ticked off all the boxes for a good Biryani. Accompaniments for the Biryani Mirchi Ka Salan and the water-y Raita were also part of the Thali. The Chicken Fry was too good. Was skeptical about the seafood in the Thali but there was no room for complaint in any of the seafood components in the Thali. The Fish Fry was crispy outside and soft inside. The Prawns and squid were perfect. The Gulab Jamun that was promised was replaced with a watery payasam kind of dessert. The Kheer was okay-ish.
While coming out after dining, noticed a poster saying one can customize the Thali by selecting dishes from their Menu. Late to notice in my case but maybe helpful for those going after seeing this post.
